Hotel, Motel, Holiday Inn. Say Whhaaat?!?!?!

Since my birthday plans didn't go as "planned," my lover treated me to a stay at The Fountainbleau. We wined, dined, danced, and relaxed, and that hotel is just the right place to do all those things. With several venues downstairs, we were bound to enjoy our stay.

My very own personalized Mac greeting. Cute.

Ocean view room. The weather was enjoyable and the room was comfy.

The bed.

The bed with boo in it. He said it was the most comfortable bed he ever slept on.

We started our day by having brunch at La Côte situated both beach and poolside.

Followed by a little play time with the camera in the lobby.

We ran upstairs, put our wetsuits on, and hung out by the pool. I love the fact that the pool is all one height. Don't get me wrong, I know how to swim. But I enjoy just floating around in the water than having to struggle staying above it. My short ass! lol

Not a fan of blowing kissy faces into the camera. Fan of blowing kisses to my Lover. =*

A view of the pool area at night.

Its a bit difficult to tell yourself to get out of the water once youre already in there but we had dinner reservations at Scarpetta for the evening. I wasn't trying to miss out on that! We took advantage of the Miami Spice menu and the food was great. The place has dim lights everywhere so it gives it a romantic vibe. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to take as many pictures as I wouldve liked to since we took boo's camera and his flash doesn't work. Thats something that we later discovered.

After dinner, we went back to the room to relax for a bit before we headed out to club LIV which is one of the hotel's venues. To my surprise, there were cupcakes and a birthday card sitting on the bar table.

Gotta thank Jay for making our stay at The Bleau much more enjoyable. =)

At LIV. Its a nice club if youre into that partying stuff. Be prepared to spend money if you plan on heading out to the spot.

The following afternoon, we had brunch at Vida. Their sandwiches are to die for. Yum.

I didn't want to leave the hotel. Can I do this every weekend? Hopefully one day. Thanks for everything babe. I love you!

2 for $20 Special

My younger brother Jaime (I call him Lizz) took me out to eat at Chili's Grill and Bar as a birthday gesture. Their skillet queso and Molten Lava Chocolate cake are on point. I had a good time chatting about nothing in particular. I barely see him since he moved out and though he got on my nerves 98% of the time, I miss him a little.......but don't tell him.

Thanks "litto big" brother. Get a hair cut. I Love you!
Writers note: Though looks can be deceiving, he is not Al Queda.

25 Years Young

(Mamajuana pre bday dinner 8/22/09)

It was my birthday a couple of hours ago. Thanks to all who wished me a good one, whether you really meant it or just said it to be polite. LoL. Special thanks to the producers of my life, Mom and dad, Raquelita for being the biggest doucheface I know (this Lady is the coolest), and my Boo for loving and treating me as if everyday were my birthday.

(Sushi Maki 08/26/09)

More pictures to come.

Not worth the price

I had a fairly large $5.00 Red Velvet cupcake from Bouchon Bakery located in the Time Warner building adjacent to Colombus Circle. Not worth the money at all. Very disappointed. The frosting was OK. The actual bread was less than average. Buttercream, you still have my heart. Thats all.

A Couple of Hours Before Taking Off

We headed to Times Square to do a little bit of souvenir shopping for our loved ones before heading back to Miami and bumped into Juniors. No, Diddy didn't make us walk a crazy amount of miles to get him some cheesecake. What we did do was go in, skim through the menu, grab carrot cheesecake samples, and walk right out. Yeah thats what we did. Dont you dare judge us.

Thank you Amy!

If it weren't for this lovely lady, Raquel and I would've probably stayed under the Manhattan Bridge while visiting NYC.

Our humble home in Harlem for that week.

The gift bag we found when we arrived from the airport. It was full of hair and body products from Bumble and Bumble and M.A.C.

She's so cute! Feel free to click on the picture to enlarge it and take a glance at the message on the sticky note.

Thank you for letting me invade your space and privacy. Oh, and for letting us stay up extremely late even when you had to work the following day. =) Cant wait for the next trip up there!

Our Last Night in NYC

A toast to a remarkable trip!

We were treated to dinner and drinks at Gente by Luis who is better known as The Meat Man for undisclosed reasons. It was my first time meeting the cool guy and his sweet/funny brother Mike.

The drinks kept coming and the fun times kept rolling. Mike was getting all the love!

As if the alcohol that was consumed wasn't enough, we headed out to Astoria in Queens to have more drinks. Before arriving to our destination, we had a photo shoot in the middle of Grand Central Station and the pictures are evidence of our slight intoxication caused by Cosmos and Sour Apple martini's.

Group shot at Beer Garden.

BEFORE 2 pitchers of Sangria.

AFTER 2 pitchers of Sangria.

We knew it was time to call it a night once Amy fell asleep on the benches. Thank you to Luis and Mike for showing us ladies a good time and driving us back home. It was greatly appreciated and tons of fun.

I <3 you Central Park

But I was a bit upset with you for ruining my hair-do when rowing the boat. Other than that, you were lovely as usual. ;)

This place never ceases to amaze me. Miami needs a serious make over. I say the city demolishes all of Hialeah and makes one of these. Only then would I say "its the most beautifullest citiez in Mayameez!"
